Tips for finding an internship, even at the last minute.

Are you looking for summer internship opportunities? It’s already April, but there’s still plenty of time to find something.

Here are some tips:

Internship positions are posted several months in advance, possibly until the end of May. Your university may use a job platform or the career office may maintain a list of interested companies. Summer positions will continue to be posted throughout the semester, possibly even a bit later. Most academic semesters end from early to mid-May, so don’t hesitate to reach out directly to the relevant officials or even your professors and keep checking for related announcements.

The career advisor can support you in the search process and help you prepare your resume or for an upcoming interview. They may also know about “last-minute” job openings or have contacts with employers or alumni.

Keep leveraging LinkedIn
If you don’t already have a LinkedIn profile, now is a great time to create or update your existing one. It’s an amazing tool through which you can find additional opportunities, network with alumni from your university, and possibly take online professional development courses to enhance your qualifications.

Take advantage of alternative opportunities, such as short-term internships and summer courses.
You can participate in short-term projects with companies of interest to you.You can also consider the possibility of taking summer courses related to your field or in another area that might interest you. This could be an excellent opportunity to enhance your resume, network with your professors, and acquire new skills.
